Case adorned with semi-precious stones including malachite, garnet, lapis lazuli, amethyst and turquoise, and a carved carnelian medallion on the reverse. Highly engraved case supported on four elephant's-head feet. Dimensions: Height 12.75". Provenance: Torin is listed in Britten's "Old Clocks and Watches and Their Makers" as being located in Hoxton Square in London in the 1760's.
