CHINESE PEKING GLASS MEIPING
CHINESE PEKING GLASS MEIPING VASE, QING DYNASTY A Chinese peking glass meiping style vase, dating from the Qing dynasty. An exaggerated meiping shape with characteristics of small base rising to wide, rounded body and then tapering to small mouth over a narrow neck. Red relief area over white background shows scene with a Chinese building, trees, and figures.
9 1/4" (23.5 cm)
Condition: good condition overall for age and use. Some marking on the glass at the rim and grinding evidence where hole was drilled into base for lamp. Some adhesive residue on the base.
