Condition:
Branded CB on underside of seat frame. Slip seat replaced. Rear corner blocks replaced. Repaired break to one knee. One side knee return replaced. Nice old finish. Provenance: purchased in Philadelphia ca.1850 by Jonathan and Elizabeth Heap and then by descent in the family.

38" h., 23 1/2" w. (at knees), approx. 23" d. (knee to crest rail), ~17 1/2" h. (seat including upholstery). Repair to crest at stile. Original yellow pine slip seat. One front knee return replaced.

46" h., approx. 35" w., 19 1/2" h. (seat height). Upholstery has not been removed. A few tears to the upholstery. No apparent repairs to the legs or stretchers. Right rear leg has some loss. Right front leg has small chip. Overall good condition.
