19TH C.A.F. BANNISTER PEWTER INLAID TRADE KNIFEThis is an original pewter inlaid trade knife from A. F. Bannister Co. of Newark, N.J. dating to the late 19th Century. A. F. Bannister Co. of Newark, N.J. existed from 1884 to 1915. The knife is marked on the left side of the blade. This shows walnut or rosewood two piece grip handle with inlaid pewter. The blade shows a false 2/3 back edge and is in clean condition. Said to be a Native American trade knife. Measures overall 7.5" length with 4"L blade. Some of the original blue'd finish still on blade.
