PHILIPS 18" MERCHANT SHIPPER'S GLOBE, LONDON, ONFLEET STREET. LATE 19TH CENTURY. MOUNTED ON A MAHOGANY STAND WITH THREE REEDED AND TURNED LEGS AND CASTORS. BASE HAS A WORKING COMPASS. GLOBE ITSELF SHOWS SOME AREAS OF WEAR AND DISCOLORATION WITH SOME LOSS. 45" HIGH, 23" DIAMETER. COMPASS IS 8" DIAMETER.
