Bronze, signed to the base.
The Romanesque figure with plaited hair raising a chalice in tandem with the young boy in her arms, who rests an amphora vase on her near shoulder. The widening base of cast iron with panels of grapevines, a Susse Freres foundry mark to the side. The underside stamped with the title, and contains an attached Christie's lot tag.
