NED SMITH PILSNER GLASSES, EIGHT (8)A set of eight footed Pilsner beer glasses from the Waterfowl series by noted wild life artist Ned Smith and accented with gold trim to rim and base. Each has the name of the bird printed on the glass along with Ned Smith's name. Each glass has a different game bird which includes; Mallard, Wood Duck, Pintail, Redhead, American Widgeon, Canvasback, Greater Scaup and Black Duck. Each measures approximately 8-1/4" tall and 2-3/4" to the base. All in good condition.

Four clear pilsner glasses, with flared deep bowl, raised on flared stem and circular dome foot, old "Böckling Made in Germany" label attached to foot; hand decorated with transfer enamelled coat-of-arms of Kingdom of Bavaria, including:
From left to right : 1. Coat of arms of Electorate of Bavaria (Elector Palatine). Used on the flags of this period, the coat of arms of the joint holding of Duke of Bavaria and Elector Palatine (commonly known as the Elector of Bavaria, as the titles were so closely linked) shows the historical arms of Bavaria and those of the Palatinate, plus an inescutcheon with a golden orb on a red field for his position of Imperial Arch-Steward of the Holy Roman Empire; 1623-1807.
2 and 3. Coat of arms of Kingdom of Bavaria (1835–1918/23). The first quarter shows the golden lion of the Palatinate. The second field shows the Franconian rake. The third field shows a red- and white-striped field with a gold pale, the coat of arms of the margraviate of Burgau, representing Swabia.
