From the ex-libris of George Loch. Apprx 211 numbered pages. Plates not present; only pages 118 and 119 have an apprx 7-5/8" x 11-1/2" plate each, but there in the front engraved portrait of the Pope and several devices and ornate title page. The leading engraver of Rome was Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778). Between 1748 and 1774, he produced quantities of magnificent etchings of Roman antiquities and monuments, which were immensely popular with 'grand tourists'.
