As found condition with chips, breaks and separations to top, hinges replaced, two later braces under top, abrasions and losses to paint decoration overall.

  PINE SLANT TOP DESK, ONTARIOAn Ontario slant top desk in pine with a high cut-out base and mushroom knobs, all in original dark red/black grain-painted surface. The slant top has breadboard ends and affixed with heavy strap hinges while supported by the original pull slides. As-found condition with an old chip under the slant top on the front edge, and a chip off the right side edge at the back. H: 44.5"; W/L: 42.5"; D/P: 20.5". Height at writing surface (hauteur surface): 34". FRANCAIS: Bureau en pente en pin avec haute base découpée et boutons en forme de champignon, peinture d'origine faux-grain rouge foncé/noir. Dessus incliné et lapsé, fixé avec de lourdes charnières, soutenu par des supports à glissières d'origine. État tel que trouvé avec vieil éclat de bois du bord avant du dessus, et un éclat sur le bord arrière latéral droit.
