A Porcelain "Persian" Form Ewer with Lid With a pear shape body, elegantly curved spout attached to the neck with a pierced diamond strut, a ridged loop handle and a pierced finial. The body has a very slightly ovoid shape and the rim and lid are circular. Four blue character marks on the underside. A simple and elegant form with a glossy clear faintly celadon glaze.

An American Belleek Type Ewer The delicately proportioned porcelain ewer measures apprx. 9-7/8"H with an onion shape bulbous body tapering neck flaring spout applied handle in the form of a serpentine twig marked in bright gilt by the decorator on the underside "F.M.F. 94". Hand painted with purple bearded irises and with silhouettes of other foliage the foot and the interior at the top in bright gilt and the handle in a combination of bright and matte finish gilt.

CHINESE QINGBAI GLAZED EWER, SONG DYNASTY A Chinese qingbai glazed ewer, Song Dynasty , with characteristic white glaze with blue-greenish tint. Ewer has flared mouth and curved spout for the pouring of wine. Incised lines along handle and along lower portion of side. Some crackling in the glaze.
H. 6" (15.2 cm)
Condition: Very good condition for extreme age and use. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
