TWO SOVIET LOMONOSOV PORCELAIN FIGURES AND A LOMONOSOV BEAR FORM INKWELL AND COVERTWO SOVIET LOMONOSOV PORCELAIN FIGURES AND A LOMONOSOV BEAR FORM INKWELL AND COVER , Russia, mid-to-late 20th Century, including the fairytale snow maiden 'Snegurochka', designed by Alexandra Vasilievna Shchekatikhina-Pototskaya, painter's black script mark, modeled as a winter skater with arms out, h: 7.25 in.; a young Yakut boy and his husky, dated 1992-2001, iron-red printed LFZ Cyrillic mark / MADE IN USSR, modeled kneeling beside his seated dog, h: 5.5 in.; and a porcelain inkstand and cover, modeled as two folklore bears, printed blue LFZ Cyrillic mark, iron-red B/sort, painted 219, designed by E Cherushin circa 1951, the bears seated at a tree stump table, one gobbling berries from a bowl, as the other waits impatiently with raised spoon, the inkwell lid finial as a spoon, h: 5.5 in. Rare Set of Six Russian Porcelain
Rare Set of Six Russian Porcelain Tea Cups and Saucers, ca. 1900, by Brothers Kornilov, St. Petersburg, decorated in green and brick red folkloric banding with gilt edges, the cups with "Mishka the Bear" handles, accompanied by a typewritten description on the letterhead of A La Vielle Russie, New York, overall h. 2-1/8", dia. 5-1/2". Pieces by the Kornilov factory, suppliers to the Imperial Court, became quite popular in the United States and Canada after their large display at the Russian Pavilion at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. Among the retailer's which carried their wares were Tiffany & Co., New York, and Shreve & Co., San Francisco.
