Howard's research, "a small number of these teapots are known and the design was clearly specially commissioned - possibly even including the shape of the teapot to accommodate a rectangular engraving." In ash with a nice cut out to the base, exuberant decoration, square nailed, and original porcelain knobs. Picked in Golden Lake, Ontario, circa 1870 . H: 72" (in two sections); W/L: 37"; D/P: 18 .5". FRANCAIS: Lave-main à cotés et dosseret chantournée avec grand miroir encadré, surface vernie d'origine. Original porcelain knobs, clean condition with minor chip on one drawer. Nova Scotia, 1860-75. H: 21"; W/L: 18"; D/P: 8". FRANCAIS: Commode à épices à huit tiroirs, vernis ancien, base chantournée, côtés à panneaux soulevés. Plateau et panneau arrière mouluré. A dramatic piece with a pronounced scalloped base. Nailed drawer construction, original shelves, original porcelain knobs (three missing), 1840-50. H: 72"; W/L: 56" cornice, case 49"; D/P: 22". FRANCAIS: Armoire québécoise, belle surface craquelée, deux portes à panneaux creux ayant deux tiroirs au-dessus et en dessous, vernis brun rougeâtre, moulures et quarts de colonnes noires. Pièce dramatique avec une base chantournée prononcée. Construction des tiroirs à clous, tablettes d'origine, boutons en porcelaine d'origine (trois manquants), 1840-50.
