Of note are the two signs tacked to the support beams: "Smoking Not Allowed" (very sensible on a wood deck), and "Shooting Not Allowed." The 4-3/4" x 3-3/4" photographic print is cemented to a piece of gray heavy cardboard stock 6" x 5". There is some additional info written on the back. Excellent condition.

Dean later left for France to study at the Academe Julian under Gustave Boulanger and Jules Joseph Lefebvre. Dean was a member of the Boston Art Club; Paint and Clay Club; Copley Society; Salmagundi Club among others.
