"THE TOILET OF VENUS" BISQUE GROUP,
"THE TOILET OF VENUS" BISQUE GROUP, MULLER AFTER BOIZOTA bisque porcelain figural group entitled "The Toilet of Venus," based on a model by Louis-Simon Boizot (French, 1743-1809), produced by Porzellanfabrik E.&A. Müller (Germany), circa 1895-1905. Marks to the underside. Measures approximately 17 1/4" x 11" x 10".
Condition
The only loss noted is a piece of the necklace being removed from the jewelry casket by the figure at the foot of Venus. There is a pinhole-type fleabite to one of the figures' legs on the back side of the group.
