WOOD (J) A DESCRIPTION OF THE EXCHANGE OF BRISTOL complete with eight plates list of subscribers and advertisement original mottled boards Bath 1745 Estimate ?200-400 As catalogued this book is dated 1745 appears complete as catalogued externally generally worn around edges with some chipping internally endpapers heavily ground. Title page browned with some small watermarks which are only small splashes and losses to corners pages lightly browned odd foxing and blemishes. First plate of the Principle plan of the Exchange has repaired tears to the centre fold 2nd plate which is 2nd part of Principle plan is detached and lightly grubby with minimal offsetting but otherwise good. 3rd plate with a few slight marks and a tiny tear at the bottom edge but does not effect the image. Plate 4 with light browning blemishes but essentially ok. Plate 5 - torn up the centre fold to just below the lettering. Plate 6 - partly detached Plate 7 - better with nominal wear and general browning Plate 8 - slightly heavier browned down the centre fold again with a slight tear but not effecting main image.
