• HOTEL MASON PRINCESS MARTHA ST.
  HOTEL MASON PRINCESS MARTHA ST. PETEPlate and cover from the Hotel Mason, St. Petersburg, built in 1924. It went bankrupt two years later. It was renamed the Princess Martha, which exists to this day as a retirement community. Plate measures 8-1/2" diameter. Both plate and cover in excellent condition.

  PRINCESS MARTHA HOTEL PLATE ST. PETERSBURGRare plate from the Hotel Mason, St. Petersburg, Florida. Measures 8-3/4" diameter and is in excellent, undamaged condition. What makes this piece so scarce is that the Hotel Mason existed for a total of two years -- from 1924-1926 -- and while it was popular enough to have hosted such VIPs as Babe Ruth, it fell into bankruptcy and closed down. When it reopened, it was named The Princess Martha, which still exists today as an active senior adult living facility.
