  A Pair of Miniature Portraits, 18th Century Most probably by the same hand, the portraits are of a handsome man in a military garb and a pretty young lady in a frilly Empire style dress, each measuring approx. 3"D, each encased in a metal mount with convex glass and a circular wood frame overall approx. 4-1/2"D. Neither appear to be signed but they are very delicately painted in oil on a thin ivory surface pasted to a paper support.

Each presented behind glass in wood frames.

Provenance: The Estate of Georgia Langenfelder Linthicum. Condition: Not examined out of frames, cannot be removed, very nicely backed. Appear to be on wove paper. Round frame example has some minor creasing and some brognins in the bottom corner. Square framed example has a very minor crease and slight browning around the eye.
