PHILIP MELVIN (1938-2010) CANADIANA carved wooded "Fat Irish Puffin", by folk artist Philip Melvin, listed in ‘Compendium of Canadian Folk Artists’, and his work is on display in the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Ottawa. Lacking capelin that was in the Puffin’s mouth. Somewhat itinerant, Melvin left a legacy of fun for us to enjoy. Measuring, 19" height x 15" width x 7 3/4" depth. The Larry Foster Collection.
