• RARE TAVANNES ART DECO STERLING
  RARE TAVANNES ART DECO STERLING PURSE WATCH 34mm x 40mm Vertical brushed silver dial, with applied stylized arabic numerals. All minute hash marks on the perimeter of the dials edge. Skeleton type minute/hour hands.15 jewel three position adjusted, Geneva stripped movement. Push sides of case, doors open to read the time only dial. While depressing catches, a quick downward thrust, the movement assembly falls out for winding. This same watch had Dunhill put on the dial, as a special order from Tavannes. All sterling except movement. Gross weight is 60.8 grams.

It has a white dial with black hour and minute hands, Arabic numeralsand black minuet dots. There is a pull out lever for a stand on the back. Sliding the case winds the clock. Marked on the dial with "Tiffany & Co. Switzerland". The back of the case is marked "Movado Factories Switzerland, Base Metal, 1253, 684M", there is also an asterisk type mark stamped into the gold trim. Measures 1 5/8 inchestall and 5/8 inchesdeep. When openit is27/8 incheswide,when closed it is1 3/8 inches wide. Condition One of the lab created sapphires is chipped. Mild bending to the posts. Overall good condition consistent with age.

Surface wear, not observed running.

Serial number 1240420M. Measures 1 3/4'' x 1 1/4'' closed.CONDITION: Note missing original leatherette on body.
