18TH C. MA TIGER MAPLE QUEEN ANNE HIGHBOY. A Ca. 1760-80 Massachusetts tiger maple two part highboy. The upper section has a flat molded top and five graduated drawers, retaining most of the original bat wing brasses, on a base with one long drawer over three (the center being fan carved), on a scrolled apron with a broken arch center crest, on cabriole legs with bold Queen Anne pad feet. 75”H x 38.5”W base x 20.5”D base.

Tiger maple New England high chest, Queen Anne with figured maple and fan carved lower drawer, dovetailed construction with pine secondary, 18th century, 73-1/2 x 40-1/2 x 19-3/4 in. Old refinishing, brasses replaced, skirt pendant drops replaced, some knee returns possibly replaced, no leg breaks found, other scattered patches and minor repairs, otherwise generally good condition. According to family tradition, purchased from Joe Kindig II, York, Pennsylvania, circa 1928-1929; accompanying note indicates it was purchased by Dr. and Mrs. Gibson Smith and stayed in their home until 1984, thence by descent in the family; The Estate of the Late Charles B.
