Note: Embroidery enjoyed a resurgence during Queen Anne's reign. She often gifted panels and textiles to important members of nobility encouraging the production of similar designs among the rest of the population. She preferred to seal correspondence with wrapping of silk thread along with wax seals, allowing for the preservation of the seals once the thread was cut.
Condition
Wear, some fading and areas of loss. Otherwise apparently in good condition, Not examined out of frame.
