A Pair of Monumental Lanterns
A Pair of Monumental Lanterns Patinated aluminum wall-mount "hanging" lanterns. Six panes with diamond pattern clear glass with the front panel hinged for entry. Lantern mounts to the wall and appears to be suspended from the link chain. Chain attached to decorative scrolled, wall mounting brackets, allowing for a clean, seamless look. Upper mounting approx. 19-1/2"T x 17"D x 4-1/4"W. Lamp approx. 3'-9"T x 1'-7-1/2"D. Link chain approx. 12"L.

FIVE LANTERNS. American late 19th to early 20th century. A small watchman's lantern with rotating component and bullseye lense a copper watchman's lantern with hinged handle a square watchman's lantern with clip a Dietz police lantern and a painted tin folding lantern 4.75'' to 7''h. Watchman's lantern with rotating component is missing lenses. Copper lantern's handle has come detached at top. Wear concurrent with age and use overall.
