The wood is near excellent with a .25'' sliver missing where it meets the top tang. The later added scope has clear optics and retains ca 95% original blue finish.

Retains 75% or better of the bluing original finish on the grips damage/chip/small crack to the left side of the grip action is good bore has scratches. All model 1891s were manufactured in 1898 and before.
• REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK NO. 1
  REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK NO. 1 TARGET RIFLEA beautiful Remington target rifle, with massive target barrel and Creedmore sights, in superb condition. The gun has an elegant simplicity to it, with outstand craftsmanship. It has a straight stock with no checkering, and simple iron mounts. The Creedmore sight on the tang has a gutta percha disc, and is marked L. Shaver. Serial number: 7574. There is a peep sight at the muzzle. The barrel and action are clearly marked, with the latest patent date being 1872. Dimensions: 49.5 inches long overall, with the barrel being 34 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Condition: Excellent condition overall. There are several small scratches on the barrel by the breech, but the gun retains almost all of its original blue, and traces of case hardening on the action. The stock has a beautiful straight grain. There is an empty screw hole at the end of the trigger guard tang. There are traces of very minor rust on top of the finish in a very few places. Marked clearly with Remington patents on left side of frame 1864 1868. Navy inspectors marking on right side P/FCW is not quite as clear.
