James Robinson was a prominent Texas painter of the America West, wildlife, and animals. Born in Houston, he earned his BFA degree from University of Houston before setting out as a commercial artist. Before too long, Robinson could support himself by painting full-time. Among many other honors, he was Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year in 1990.
