R. J. MOORE COWBOY & HORSE SCULPTURE 1970Featured in this lot is this large bronze colored sculpture by artist R. J. Moore, made in 1970. The sculpture depicts an American cowboy riding his horse as the horse trudges through mud. The horse encounters a snake and rears up causing the cowboy to hold on tightly as he assesses the situation. He is wearing chaps, a cowboy hat, gloves, boots and sits in a saddle with his rope curled next to him and his pack rolled up behind him. The sculpture is signed on the front reading, "R. J. Moore, Am. Cast Co. Inc. '70". The sculpture is bronze colored coated plaster or chalk. The sculpture is in good condition overall with slight, small chips throughout the piece, but otherwise shows no other signs of obvious damage. The sculpture measures 12" L x 8 1/4" W x 15 1/2" H. The collective weight of this sculpture is 14lb 8oz.
