Rookwood elephant paperweight from 1925Rookwood elephant paperweight from 1925 in rich slate blue matte glaze. Marked with Rookwood logo, XXV and the shape number 2797. Also marked with William McDonald's impressed mark on the base. Mint, although someone wrote 50¢ on the bottom. 3 1/4" tall by 4 1/4" long.

One is dated 1920 (XX) while the other is from 1921 (XXI). The 1920 vintage piece has had professional restorations to the juncture of each foot to the base. 5 1/2" tall.
