***RARE ROSE MANDARIN TUREEN. China mid 19th century. Paneled with well-done court and garden scenes surrounded by applied decorations of squirrels and berry branches. Gilt accents and handles with a gilt foo dog finial. 10 1/2''h. Wear to the gilt on the handles finial and around the rim. There is an in the making separation on the inside rim of pot that is about 1/4''. There is gilt in the hair. Condition reports are available on all items. Depicts a Georgian red brick house, with a village among well-tended fields in a valley to the right, sheep in the foreground, a young girl practicing archery for her family in the sloping yard to the left, wisps of smoke from the chimneys and the dusk light indicate a late summer setting. In a gold Impressionist style frame, OS: 52" x 64 1/2", SS: 43" x 55 1/2". Repaired tear to the lower left edge, cleaned.
