Holzer-Defanti", underside with Rosenthal script mark and impressed with model number, 16" high, 8" x 3 1/2".

FOUR GERMAN PORCELAIN FIGURES: a Rosenthal dancing lady in curtsy position 7'' tall; bisque toddler fending off a feisty horned goat 7.75'' tall 7'' wide; man in tricorn hat holding a duck 8'' tall; and a group of three birds with gold beaks and feet 5.75'' wide 6'' tall. Marked underfoot. The figurines show light to moderate wear throughout. The woman has scratches to the back and the child has a broken finger.

Holzer-Defanti of 1919, signed in the mold, in the Art Deco style, posed with right leg and arm raised, wearing the elaborate multicolored costume, the stepped oval base with a gilt Asian deity, h: 16.25 in. Constantin Holzer-Defanti, (1881-1951). The design of the present model was based on a photograph of Anita Berber as Bingha, costume designed by Walter Schnackenberg, photograph by Alexander Binder.
