  A Hand Made Miniature Chest of Drawers Fashioned in a honey color wood with a rich patina, approx. 11-1/4"W x 8-1/2"D x 9-1/8"H, on four squared tapering legs, three drawers with turned wood knobs, the top, front and two sides detailed in a double line of inlay and with a diamond shape in the center of the top. The secondary woods inside the drawers have a slightly aromatic quality, one with burned emblem, and may have come from wooden cigar boxes originally. The numbers "5.8.36" are written on the underside, possibly indicating a date.

  Irish Chippendale lift-top chest, figured mahogany throughout, hinged lid with open interior over two dovetailed drawers with oak linings, large probably original brass carrying handles, later mask and leaf carved frame with ball-and-claw feet, 18th century in part, 37-1/8 x 52 x 27 in. Frame a later replacement, brass drawer pulls replaced, minor losses to carved feet, other scattered repairs and restorations. Estate of the Late Dr. John Rison Jones, Jr., Huntsville, Alabama.
