ROYAL GUN WORKS DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN 12 GASide by side, double barrel Belgian hammer shotgun by Royal Gun Works. Serial #22998 on forend, receiver and barrels. Barrel rib marked "No 1612 Laminated Steel Belgium". Barrels measure 30", overall 46 1/4", LOP 13 3/4". Shotgun has age approprwear with finish loss, oxidation and pitting. Left hammer has no spring resistance. Stocks have no cracks or chips. Bores are shiny with light discoloration. Lever screw missing. See images for more details on condition. A fine sporting rifle with "Ky influence", having half round half octagon bbl, with gold band at breech. Fine engraved mounts of German silver including patch-box and capox on the cheek side. Cheek piece inlayed with running stag. Minor wood damage, replaced r.rod thimbles, missing one bbl key escutcheon. Good working order, original ramrod, very good plus. Estimate $2,000-2,500

US Model 1816 musket .69 caliber 42'' round barrel walnut stock with cartouche Remington Maynard tape primer conversion dated 1858 buttplate marked ''US '' original ramrod and bayonet. These conversions were done at the Frankford Arsenal Philadelphia using Remington-supplied Maynard primer locks and percussion bolsters. Our consignor (the Hallock family) indicates that all of their guns are in working order but we cannot guarantee their functionality.
