TEXTILE: WHOLE-CLOTH CHINTZ QUILT, C. 1830-1850, COTTON, MADE WITH A TOP FABRIC PRINTED WITH PINK ROSE-LIKE FLORAL SPRAYS ON A MACHI...TEXTILE: Whole-cloth chintz quilt, c. 1830-1850, cotton, made with a top fabric printed with pink rose-like floral sprays on a machine-engraved undulating zig-zag background in brown, back of the quilt is another floral print, with green, pink and white undulating floral vines on a background with brown dots arranged in stripes, binding is a woven stripe tape ("Trenton" tape), the quilting is in brown cotton thread at 5-7 stitches to the inch chain and feather patterns arranged in stripes, very good condition considering age and use including one small break in the tape edging, a couple of very minor light brown stains, etc., sold as found, 104" l. x 91" w.

TEXTILE: WHOLE-CLOTH CHINTZ QUILT, C. 1810-1840, COTTON, THE CHINTZ IS BROWN, WITH RED, CREAM, AND BLUE IN A STRIPED DESIGN WITH FLO...TEXTILE: Whole-cloth chintz quilt, c. 1810-1840, cotton, the chintz is brown, with red, cream, and blue in a striped design with flowers alternating with a chain-like design, backing is plain cream-colored cotton, edges are bound with woven tape "Trenton tape", the chintz is block-printed, quilted in scallops and diamond lattice, and interlocking circles without a particular regularity to where they quilted what, quilted about six stitches to the inch in white thread, overall good condition with wear consistent with age and use including minor brown spots and yellowing on back, 98" x 88".
