CIRCA 1920-30 comprising six cups, six saucers, six side plates, a sugar bowl and a cream jug; the cups and sugar bowl painted to the interior and gilded to the exterior; painted by various artists including Austin, Powell, Price, Hale, Everett, Baynall and Morely; puce factory marks(20)side plates 15.4cm diameter, sugar bowl 12.8cm diameter, jug 8.2cm highProvenance: The Ashley Hall Collection: By order of The Trustees of the J. Porter Trust & The Executors of the late Leonard RawcliffeThis service presents well.It does have some signs of wear and use.There are a few small surface scrapes and some small pots of wear or tarnish to the gilding throughout.Side plates: a Baynell plate has crazing to the glaze front and back; a Mosely plate has slightly more surface scrapes than the others and a fine 10cm hairline to the back which may be only glaze deep.Sugar: OK; a few marks and small tarnished spots to the gilding at the reverse of the bowl.Jug: OK; handle slightly tarnnished.Cups: one of the Hale cups has some slightly rough surface inclusions to the interior near the grapes, there is also a slight residue in this cup; one Mosley cup has crazing to the bottom.Saucers: one Baynall saucer has light crazing and a couple of fine hairlines visible to the reverse; one of the Mosley saucers has a couple of fine hairlines visible to the reverse.
