Thirteen various early 20th century
Thirteen various early 20th century books printed by the New York state utopian community called Roycroft, The Roycrofters or The Roycroft Press. Twelve were written by the founder of Roycroft, Elbert Hubbard (sometimes under his pseudonym of Fra Elbertus). Three of those-- The Book of the Roycrofters, Hollyhocks and Goldenglow, and The City of Tagaste-- are signed by Hubbard. Hollyhocks and Goldenglow includes an essay on the sinking of the Titanic, which later proved somewhat ironic, as Hubbard (1856-1915) and his wife then died in the era's second-most-famous maritime disaster when R.M.S. Lusitania was torpedoed by the Germans off the coast of Ireland on May 7, 1915.
