A group of four figurines produced by Beswick for Royal Doulton modeled as characters from the 1920s comic strip Rupert Bear: RUPERT BEAR, Number 1709 of 1920; PODGY PIG, Number 1709 of 1920; EDWARD TRUNK, Number 668 of 1920; and BILL BADGER, Number 668 of 1920. Produced in a limited edition of 1920, commemorating the year of the cartoon's debut. Stamped to bases ROYAL DOULTON and other marks.
