RUPPERT KNICKERBOCKER BEER CLOWN AUTOMATON Circa 1950s Automated Beer Merchanising Display, depicting a papier mache acrobatic clown balancing on one finger atop a six pack while holding bottles, cans and mugs; the six pack is mounted on a custom metal tripod stand containing an electric motor that makes the clown figure rotate; comes with its original wooden storage crate with ink drawings of the figure and assembly instructions, assembled height: approx. 9' tall, crate: 62 1/4" high, 39" x 26 1/2". Complete, but with paint losses and wear to clown; splits in plastic mug; hole in crate; works intermittently.
