The most influential men and women of the day were guests at one time or another, including Abraham Lincoln on his way to the 1861 inauguration.   A Royal Worcester plaque of Bluebells Kew painted by Rushton date code for 1924 signed to the front titled verso printed mark framed and glazed 9.25 x 5.75ins - a.f. Estimate ?400-600 Extensive cracking notable through the aperture on the back board this appears to have been effected by heat probably shining through the glass on the plaque over many years one pronounced crack is now visible running from dead centre diagonally upwards to the left for about 3 inches. No other cracks are easily detectable from the front but we suspect more are present. In its original gilt metal and gilt scroll frame which is in fair order. Backboard has never been removed and title inscription can be viewed from the reverse. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports.
