  SMITH & WESSON MODEL 28-2 .357 HIGHWAY PATROLMAN 1.5" thick x 5.5"wide x 9.5" long A classic 4" barrel .357 revolver which is a dress down Model 27, features forged frame and pinned barrel. The edges of the frame are bead blasted instead of bright blue. Rear sight lacking white outline. Weight is 44.5 ounces (avoirdupois). This was done to tame hot commercial loads like supervel, popular in the 1970's. Published data places the year of manufacture at 1978.

This revolver retains most of the original blue finish with some loss and pitting on the grooved backstrap. Grips are excellent. The box is very good with some fading and wear on the edges.
