  SMITH & WESSON MODEL 28-2 "HIGHWAY PATROLMAN" DOUBSMITH & WESSON MODEL 28-2 "HIGHWAY PATROLMAN" DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER, 357 magnum caliber, 4" barrel, dull blue finish, checkered walnut grips with S&W medallion, six shot fluted cylinder, adjustable rear sight, serial #N583971, manufactured 1954-1986. Lot requires FFL or background check.

  Smith & Wesson No. 1 Second Model .22 short cal. 3.25'' barrel S/N 79688. Silver-plated frame blue barrel rosewood grips. Condition: Good condition with a very good but lightly pitted bore. It retains ca 70% original silver finish while the rest of the gun has a brown patina. It has a weak locking spring and the cylinder does not lock up properly. The barrel is a little loose and the screws are all buggered up.

  SMITH & WESSON MODEL 28-2 .357 HIGHWAY PATROLMAN 1.5" thick x 5.5"wide x 9.5" long A classic 4" barrel .357 revolver which is a dress down Model 27, features forged frame and pinned barrel. The edges of the frame are bead blasted instead of bright blue. Rear sight lacking white outline. Weight is 44.5 ounces (avoirdupois). This was done to tame hot commercial loads like supervel, popular in the 1970's. Published data places the year of manufacture at 1978.

The display case is excellent with an excellent interior. This is a desirable configuration with a scarce barrel length.
