AN 18TH CENTURY FRENCH PLATTER in soft paste porcelain blue and white 17'' by 12.50'' c.1780 plus a stand plate 9'' diameter early 20th century. The stand plate shows moderate wear with a few scratches and gilding loss. The platter has multiple chips and a hairline crack.

18TH C. CHINESE QING GLAZED POTTERY DISH, TL TESTEDEast Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 18th century CE. A hand-built pottery dish of sizable form with a ringed foot, squat walls, and a thick rim surrounding the broad and shallow basin. The exterior surfaces are surrounded by blue peaked panels filled with floral motifs, and the basin interior boasts additional flowers, vines, leaves, and curvilinear motifs in cobalt blue. Size: 15.875" W x 3.1" H (40.3 cm x 7.9 cm)
This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report is available to the buyer upon request.

Condition:
Minor abrasions and pitting, with light fading and roughness to glaze in scattered areas, a few stable hairline fissures beneath foot, and dark brown pigment beneath base, otherwise intact and very good. Nice preservation to most blue decorations. TL drill holes beneath foot.
