Precisely stitched paired motifs include trees topped by birds two dark haired women both holding flowers floral filled baskets as well as a three-story brick house. Ten-year-old Maria signed and dated her work at the bottom edge. Bright colors. In an old frame 19'' x 19''. Sampler 13'' x 13''. A small amount of light toning and a few nail holes on edges. Frame has glued repair and may have had white china tacks in the corners.

Motifs included a couple in black hats birds perched on hearts a parrot a multi antlered deer and a building with towers on each corner. In a frame. 23 1/4''h. 18 3/4''w. Has been cleaned on cloth backing. Bright colors on clean background. A light discoloration on bottom. The Emma Grettons found during research were born in England.

Pairs of hearts baskets trees diamonds and columns of family initials over large two-story building with roof top railing. Unframed 17.5''h. 17.5''w. Color migration at bottom the scattered loose black stitches appear to be an addition.

Handwritten list of siblings births is taped to back but does not include parents names or location.
