Japanese satsuma tea set, assembled set, gilt and polychrome decoration, shaped cartouches with lohans, soldiers, men and women: 4-3/4 in. teapot, 4 in. sugar, 3-1/2 in. creamer, bases with mark for Kinkozan; two 1-7/8 in. cups, two 5-1/2 in. saucers, bases with mark for Gyokuzan; four 1-7/8 in. cups, four 5-1/2 in. saucers, one with repaired rim , bases with rectangular cartouche with gilt character mark, late 19th/early 20th century, (15 pieces). Several with old paper labels on bases, all with minor discoloration, minor wear and loss to glaze and gilt. Private Collection.
