Savage Double-Action Percussion Navy Revolver .36 cal. 7'' octagonal barrel S/N 13517. Walnut grips. Condition: All metal has been cleaned leaving a gunmetal grey mixing with some pitting scattered throughout the revolver. Grips still retain a very light cartouche on the left one. Both grips are in good condition with some nicks and dings.

Morris who served in the 8th Illinois Cavalry in October 1861 was promoted to captain in 1863 and was killed at Monocacy (Maryland) on July 7 1864.

COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER. .36 caliber six-shot cylinder with engraved naval scene 7 1/2'' octagonal barrel walnut grips. S/n 9683. Less than 10% bluing remains the rest with dark gray patina bore good with some corrosion action is smooth engraved cylinder scene visible but rather worn old/original finish on the grips some nicks and dings mostly around the wedge but the wedge serial number matches. Manufactured 1851.

COLT BREVETE MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER. .36 caliber six-shot cylinder with engraved hunting scene 7 1/2'' octagonal barrel marked ''Colt Brevete'' walnut grips. S/n 6722 with ''NC'' on the butt strap. Marks crisp retains 90+% of its bluing barrel engraving still fairly clear and crisp with minor wear nickel plating on cylinder trigger guard and straps about 90% grips refinished action is fairly smooth wedge not numbered and has dings and dents from difficult removal missing latch to hold the lever in place.

COLT MODEL 1861 SINGLE ACTION NAVY REVOLVER 36 CALFor your consideration is a beautiful, original condition Colt 1851 Navy six-shot .36 Caliber revolver. This fine example of Colt’s most famous and popular model percussion revolver shows no signs of over-cleaning and all markings are sharp and clear, including the barrel stamping “COLT 1861 NAVY 36 CAL." across the left side and "BLACK POWDER ONLY - MADE IN ITALY". The frame and barrel is marked with import and manufacture stamps. This exceptional Colt has lovely case hardened frame, wonderful aged blue patina on the barrel and cylinder, and trigger guard. This revolver had intermittent mechanics and has matching serial number, indicating a manufacture date of 1861, stamped on the barrel and on the frame. The factory original one piece walnut grips fit beautifully and still retain good wood finish. The Colt 1851 Navy was one of the most classic side arms of the Civil War and later in the Old West. Wild Bill Hickock was carrying a pair of Colt 1851 Navy revolvers when he was gunned down in Deadwood, South Dakota on August 2, 1876. The revolver weighs 2lbs 8oz. Serial Number: 15052. This firearm qualifies as an Antique and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.

COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER. .36 caliber six-shot cylinder 7 1/2'' octagonal barrel with New York address walnut grips. S/n 109489. According to tradition this gun originally belonged to Joseph Berkstresser of Company L of the 160th Pennsylvania Volunteers which was later reorganized into Company L of the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry. Only fair condition scattered oxidation action is nonfuntional loading lever does not move marks worn and barrel scene not visible. Mfd. 1861.
