Here noted that Kaendler’s work records of July 1766 included an order for the present form. Based on a gilt-bronze prototype, the porcelain order was commissioned for the Chevalier de Saxe, the illegitimate son of Augustus the Strong and Fuerstin Lubomirskahe.
