TWO GERMAN PEWTER MOUNTED LITHOPHANE STEINS Circa 1900, the first "As a Reminder of my Service" was a presentation award apparently to an individual in the field artillery, lithophane of a soldier and young lady (cover askew) (9 3/4 in.); the second depicts an amorous couple with a lithophane of a couple with children (7 1/2 in.).

H. Estimate $ 300-500 Condition report 2-22-12: *The stein on the far left of the picture: reads ''7. Comp. Feib. Garde Inft(1)r. Regt. (1 Grolsh. Hess) No. 115. Darmstadt 1906-08.'' The lid does not fit snugly. There is wear to the pewter lids and mounts. Wear to pewter mounts some gilt loss.

Also included in group are 5 figures by Sitzendorf marked with green underglazed mark: "Grenadier Reg 15 1770", "Musketier 1815", "Seydlitz Kurassier 1760", "Garde Grenadier 1770" and "Lutzow Jager 1813", 7 7/8" to 8 1/2" H, plus 1 soldier porcelain figure titled "Captain, Infantry of the Legion, 1795", 7 1/2" H by unidentifed maker with blue crown over M over R hallmark. 12 total, all early to mid-20th century.
Condition:
Excellent condition with minor surface grime except for 1 Scheibe Alsbach figure with broken drum mallet.
