A SILVER MOUNTED SCOTTISH DRESS DIRK, EDINBURGH 1891The handsome antique highlander's side arm has a circular faceted glass stone in imitation of a cairngorm atop the carved and etched wood handle above silver mounts with Celtic knot engravings bearing stamped hallmarks for Glasgow, Scotland 1891, the original fork and knife with matching pommel stone and carved pattern are present and intact.Measures 15.75 x 1.75 x 2 inches.Very good original condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.

And a dirk with blade marked ''''George Wostenholm & Son Ltd. Washington Works Sheffield'' and carved handle resembling antler 10 1/2''l. Together with a small dirk or awl with ivory and silver plate handle 5 1/2''l. The Dirk has some rust and a small split on the handle. No markings.
