TWO STATE OF MICHIGAN WAR WITH SPAIN MEDALS 1898 Designed by Brenner and given by the state of Michigan to its veterans from the 1898-99 War with Spain and Philippines. Obverse - Liberty welcoming back a sailor and soldier, Reverse - People of the State of Michigan to F. Hooper, JR - Comes with original ribbon and pin and would grade MS63 or higher with beautiful tan reflective bronze patina Smedley #40 Dates to 1901. #2 - The same medal in the original "Victor D Brenner Medailleur, New York" presentation box with original ribbon. Both would be AU or slightly better. Not many of these original boxes have survived to present day
