The offered lot and the other pieces in this suite resemble in form several painted pieces by Lockwood de Forest provided for his own home on 10th Street in New York City. The furnishings of Lockwood de Forest were ordered and made in Ahmedabad, in Gujarat state, from where these pieces come.
