The factory was originally placed in Plymouth Hollow but then the town name changed to Thomaston in 1875 which then appeared on the labels. 12" dial.Seth Thomas (1785-1859) apprenticed to a carpenter and then when 22 years of age he joined the firm Terry and Hoadley in clock making.
