  Seth Thomas Office #1 Wall Clock ca. 1875 Time only spring wound clock original painted 12" dial with Roman numerals rosewood case with painted lower window. With pendulum. Seth Thomas (1785-1859) apprenticed to a carpenter and then when 22 years of age he joined the firm Terry and Hoadley in clock making. He then started his clock factory in Plymouth Hollow and remained there until his death in 1859. He was regarded as one of the most honest and successful clock makers of his time.
