SEVRES FRAMED CABINET PLATE - MARKED 1859 AND 1863Sevres style old Paris porcelain cabinet plate depicting soft purple and pink lilacs surrounding by cobalt blue and gilt decoration. With a 1859 Sevres mark along the verso indicating when the plate was glazed and fired. With an additional 1863 crowned N mark indicating the date gilding was applied. Framed in an ornate circular gilt frame depicting scrolling leaves.

FOUR SEVRES ROYAL PRESENTATION PLATES, 1784 Set of four Sevres (French 1740), gilded soft paste porcelain plates, 1784, having a gilded Bleu Celeste lip with reserves containing various floral sprays encircling a maroon roundel framed by a band of pearls surrounding three roses, marked to the underside with interlaced L's, three black and one blue, enclosing the date letters 'gg' for 1784, two with decorator's marks for, Francois-Marie Barrat (French, active Sevres 1769-1791 and 1795-1796), two with decorator's marks for Cyprien-Julien Hirel de Choisy (French, active Sevres 1770–1812), and one with gilder marks for Louis-Antoine Legrand (French, active Sevres 1776-1800) or Etienne-Henry Le Guay (French, active Sevres 1749-1796). Note: These plates are likely from a 288 piece dinner service presented by Louis XVI to his brother-in-law Archduke Ferdinand of Austria, Governor of Lombardy, on June 12, 1786. A soup plate from that service is held in the collections of the Musee du Louvre, Department of Decorative Arts, OA 11916. Approximate dimensions: dia. 9.375".
